From here on in the NFL every game is important for teams for the rest of the way. There are only a few weeks left before the playoffs and many teams will need to continue winning if they want to make one of those playoff spots. On Sunday the Kansas City Chiefs will battle the St Louis Rams which should be a great game with interesting competition. The Rams currently have a 6-7 record and are tied with the Seattle Seahawks for the NFC West lead. It is hard to believe that a team that has a less than 500 percentage record could be in first place but that is our reality this year. The Kansas City Chiefs are expecting Matt Cassel to return to the lineup tomorrow. He has been hampered with a surgery procedure to remove his appendix and missed the Chiefs last game. He did not play in the game against the San Diego Chargers in which they suffered a horrible loss to the Chargers of 31-0. His presence in tomorrows game should help his team perform up to par and hopefully pull out a win.

St Louis has lost the past three games but has a 4-2 record at home. They have not had the best advantage playing at home as most other teams play well at home. Over the past 2 seasons their home win loss record is 2-22. The head to head games between the Rams and Chiefs has been all in favor of the Chiefs. The Rams have not beaten the Chiefs in their last four meetings. Tomorrows game will be the first time these two teams have met since 2006.

The game will be on TV in Kansas City either way but it appears theres excitement abound in St. Louis with this game. For the first time in several years (for both teams) a December game actually means something.
