With modern technology moving so fast these days, it was easy to watch The Karate Kid online. The movie is one of the better movies to showcase both martial arts with dramatic acting, and really sends home a message that there is a small child in all of us, waiting to learn self-defense, honor, and glory. The film was quite good and the comedy relief in it was not lost on me, even though I'm a little older than the target audience. I was enthralled with the characters, and at times, wanted to be them. There are a lot of movies that have come out in modern times, but they seem to lack the balance and character depth that this film has.

For those that have yet to hear about the film, it is about a bullied young boy that wants to learn kung fu from an unlikely source. He is taken under the wings of an older kung fu master, long past his teaching career, and is taught martial arts through unlikely methodology. When you watch the karate kid online, you'll find it humorous to see that painstaking chores can somehow transcend to learning Chinese Kung Fu. The latest incarnation of the film stars Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, set in China. While the original had Ralph Macchio and Pat Morita, the updated version manages to exemplify the same style while modernizing it quite a bit. With the new setting, a new set of actors, but the same heart felt message, the new film really does a fine job of updating the classic tale of teacher and student, and is an instant classic.

Fast speed internet has really allowed anyone to watch The Karate Kid online, and it is a shining example of how computers have changed the way we have thought about media and watch movies.
