"The next three days" is hard, powerful thriller that I was on the edge of my seat throughout the film. I really did not know until the last moments, how would you do - and because the film is skillfully guided me to take care of all the characters, even some random losers in the methodology of laboratory care about how it will end. The actors are good with Russell Crowe, particularly so gritty and realistic sets perfectly match desperate tone of the film. Elizabeth Banks' too good-to-be-true relaxing, sunny good looks are well used. "Over the next three days" reminds me of Hitchcock, and by 1993, "The Fugitive", but this does not lead to this level of classic. Rather it is a well-oiled machine designed to efficiently crank engagement of the audience, tension and release.

There are some particularly good moments. In the opening scene might have been satisfactory, if all it did was to set the stage for what should follow, but do much more. I would like to see this scene again (and again). A women with plunging neckline spars with Lara, a modestly dressed woman, about whether women can ever get over their competition with men and their ties. The scene shows its contents: Ms. neckline double entenders used to make passage of the husband of Lara and Lara showing the audience she is fully capable of losing temper, one important point plan. Brilliant writing in this scene is a bonus. There is a scene involving sewer drain that allows economic question of the audience had for some time. A scene with the car door is also a powerful and informative. Brian Dennehy performance is as intimacy-impaired, working-class father is almost silent and very brilliant. And the film really brought poignancy to the scum of the world, drug dealers.
