Following in the footsteps of the revered Iron Chef, and riding the crest of the reality trend still sweeping U.S. networks in the mid-2000s, the Bravo network's reality series Top Chef pits 15 chefs against one other in an on-camera competition of food preparation to vie for the title of premier culinary maestro.

The show was hosted by Katie Lee Joel in its first season and model/actress and author Padma Lakshmi from Season 2 onwards. Tom Collichio also serves as a regular judge, assisted by various high-caliber restauranteur guest judges.

Forget about trying to whip up that perfect rare steak for one single second when you always lose your focus and end up messing with everything/ try to sit down, take ten deep breaths, and just watch Top Chef and see how to do it all.

Anyway, every episode of the reality series save for the finale has two obstacle courses: the Quickfire Challenge and Elimination Challenge. Sounds far exciting I'd be delighted to be involved! Well, in Quickfire Challenge, every chef will be required to whip up a dish that calls for certain flairs, or be a part of a relay called mise en place or a specific taste test. An hour or less is allotted for this challenge, in the end, the judges select one or more chefs as the best in the challenge. In last episode The contestants must make 100 servings of the same dish 100% alike, but at tleast there's a kitchen. The next day they will be asked to cater a yacht club's anniversary party, but the protein is catch-as-catch-can and their work stations may have a stellar view, but lack some of the basics.
