What Jhootha Hi Sahi does well, is to try and outshine the cheerful mood with quirky supporting characters to boot target. Too bad, these are noble efforts in the confines of an extremely predictable and stale romantic comedy that is not only his Outstays welcome, but a missed opportunity on most fronts set.
The story follows Sid (John Abraham) who is the owner of a bookstore with a few friends in the city of London. He is a stammering bumbler in real life that not get out too far with the girls and has an uptight girlfriend Krutika that everyone loves to hate his friends. But at night, he takes the role of a suicide helpline, by calls from people at the margins of her life and she speaks out of it. Such a night, he receives a call from a depressed woman Mischka (Pakhi) and as the conversation moves on, beat him from shining. But when Sid accidentally Pishka meets in real life he is the dilemma, told her about his true identity or keep it secret.
The first thing positive for the film is the serene atmosphere that it creates through its London setting and the focus on mundane everyday and friend interactions. The group of quirky characters are here in their own way, including a gay friend, a Pakistani girl pregnant and her brother, among others. Most of the film is brilliant moments are when Sid interact with this group of friends and she manages to wrest it a lot of great humor from some hilarious situations.
