These highly entertaining films are filled with gorgeous women, impressive special effects scenes, and beautiful cars. If you haven't watched many films in the Bond series, you're missing out on a huge part of American culture. The films have been so influential that they've spawned several spin-offs and spoofs, including the Austin Powers series. To catch up on some of the most important films in the Bond series, check your satellite TV listings to find out when you can watch some of the great films listed below.

1963's From Russia With Love is the second Bond film, and it's success really helped solidify the popularity of the series, which ensured that James Bond movies would continue for years to come. In this great film, Sean Connery stars as Bond. The film follows Agent 007 (Bond) as he sets out on a mission to find a secret decoding machine that will enable those who possess it to get access to Russian state secrets. Bond is seduced by a KGB defector, who is a pawn in part of a larger trap to catch Bond. Throughout the film, there are all sorts of great action-packed scenes including a fight with a villain who has shoes that contain a deadly poisonous knife! Be sure to watch this classic Bond film on your satellite TV.

Although many Bond fans prefer the older films to any newer releases, one of the best films in the series is undoubtedly 1995's Goldeneye. This film was Pierce Brosnan's first portrayal of Agent 007, and his ability to take over the difficult role was clearly proven by the acting skills he displayed in this incredible film. The plot of Goldeneye follows Bond as he tries to stop terrorists who want to use a satellite weapon to steal money from a bank in London and then destroy the financial records of that bank. In doing so, the terrorists would hide their tracks but also destroy Britain's financial system. The film is filled with twists and turns in the plot, which can only be expected in a great suspenseful film that includes villains who were former agents. And of course there are plenty of special effects in the film, so be sure to watch it in high definition on your satellite TV stations.

In 1965, Sean Connery reprises his role as James Bond for a third time in Goldfinger, which is also the 3rd film in the Bond series. This film has come to epitomize a classic Bond film because it contains all of the important elements of the series: fancy cars, great love-interests, great villains, and witty one-line phrases from Bond. The plot of the film follows 007 as he uncovers an evil plot to stockpile and destroy gold reserves in order to destroy the world economy. Catch this perfect film on one of your satellite TV channels.
