Water Damage - How Damaging Can It Be

Every morning, we usually wake up either to a sunny day or a cloudy day

. The sun may shine brightly or the rain may just pour. But sometimes, a storm comes up and it can be a weak one or a strong one. The degree of destruction it causes is, of course, dependent on its intensity. A storm with low intensity only brings heavy rains and minor environmental and human damage.

A storm with a heavier intensity is more destructive. Many areas, especially in the outskirts and barren lands are prone to flooding. However, an area can be flooded because of the city's poor sewage system. Effects of flooding are seen in homes, pets, crops and trees. The worst part is these effects can drag on for quite a long time.

Man is, of course, the one who's affected the most, whether as a dead victim or as a survivor. For a flood survivor, seeing your pet dead and floating may give rise to insecurities for not being able to save a small helpless creature. Children who see their drowned pets are not spared the grief of this experience. Others may see the destruction of a well-planned investment or the end of a dream. Some may lose a home, a car, or a business. Worst of all, people can lose people.

Flood not only can affect us physically but it can scar us emotionally especially when we lost loved ones during the flood. The worst part is the pain won't go away, we just learn to live with it. Going back to how it was before the disaster will be harder because of the destruction that it has caused to the environment. Nature surely is unpredictable. It can either hate us by causing a lot of catastrophe or love us giving us all the natural wonders.

Flood has been with us ever since time started. However destructive it can be, we just have to learn that it's all part of the cycle. Seeing flood this way can help survivors pick up the pieces and learn to live life again and continue to face the storms in the future.
