One of the most important things for a successful customer service is addressing the needs of the clients
. Right away, the needs of the clients have to be expected. In expecting so, the system that has to be followed will be put into place, including the training of the employees that will take charge in service providing. With these said, providers have to be prepared in case unusual things happen. Yes, customers are unpredictable. They sometimes ask for service that is way beyond usual. For this, it is better when the service providers are prepared. One preparation in addressing the demands of the customers will be going beyond the system.
There are instances when customers would ask for something that seems to sound impossible. These are the customers who would ask for assistance beyond the working time. Yes it is okay to offer a little help, but the thing is, sometimes, the help that is being asked is not that feasible. And that is the time when service providers are being transformed into superhuman-like, making a way for the impossible.
One example is when someone asked for heels. She arrived late in a hotel. She had everything she needs up until she realized that she left her heels at home. What else can she do but to ask for help? Since it was late, all the stores were closed already. Good thing, a concierge assisted her. The concierge gave her own heels to the lady who is in need. Yes, the concierge indeed saves the lady. There were times as well when she was sort of lost in a restaurants system. She was about to have dinner after the said heels incident.
Upon reaching the restaurant, it became clear to her that reservations have to be done above anything else. Of course, she did not know. Again, this was resolved by the crews accommodation. She was assisted separately. The gentlemen provided her a separate table in the non-smoking area. The restaurants crew did not even hesitate to adjust their floor plan just to address the needs of each and every customer that they have. Incidents like these are common for service providers indeed. Now, the question will lie on how the service providers are capable of leaving a favorable impression to their customers.
With the above mentioned instances, it is really important that the customers are being handled in accordance to their needs. In addressing customers needs, it is necessary that the service providers care. When customers providers care, it is not difficult anymore to build connections with their clients and future clients.
Apart from this, it is important that the service providers have the authority as well. The said providers need to have the automatically on what they are doing. Service providers need to be in control with what they are doing. They need to be attentive in unusual cases. The ability to respond to not so typical scenario would most likely set a service provider apart from its competitors.
