Also, if you decide against adoption, your practice will be penalized with lesser Medicare and Medicaid rebates commencing in 2015.

So the real choice for today's medical practitioner is adopt today, and possibly have your electronic medical records software paid for by the US government, or wait a few years, pay full price for EMR software, and be subject to fines for being a late adopter. The choice for most seems pretty easy.
