This is not always possible, but if the victim could just let someone know then at least this will surely be noted somewhere.

Even men fall foul of women who slap and punch without a second thought and there are many who will just not fight back. Men often feel a little disenfranchised as having to admit that they are being knocked about but the court will not differentiate between a woman or a man in this case. Indeed, they will be more inclined to take the children away from her too should she show this kind of behavior in the home which could have detrimental effects on the children in future.
