Many individuals are intrigued by the thought of using one more operating system
. The biggest concern is that in trying the latest operating system that this Windows set up will in some way be messed up. There are a few ways of trying a brand new operating system like Ubuntu not having touching Windows.
You can look at Ubuntu which has a Live CD.
One option is to download and burn what is known as a Live CD. If you do not know how to download and burn this CD, you can always request a totally free CD from Ubuntu or often find free ones at computer shops.
Once you have this CD place it into your personal computer and turn off your equipment. Whenever you transform back on you will notice a screen asking in order to install and try Ubuntu. Don't be concerned regarding the word "install" as you can't accidentally install it if you don't want to. The whole operating-system will run off the CD letting you check it out without messing up Windows.
You can even try Ubuntu in the virtual machine.
Another option would be to run a virtual machine. That is a great deal technical. Download a free program called Virtual Box. After it's opened and running start New "device". Set up with at least 512 megs of ram, 32 meg of video ram, and set an arbitrary level of hard disk space as this doesn't matter at this time.
You can add the iso image that you simply downloaded from Ubuntu for the CD-rom inside the virtual machine and boot up.
This enables you to play around with Ubuntu while booted up in Windows without installing anything.
Note that either of these methods definitely won't be displaying you Ubuntu in it's full rates of speed. When Ubuntu is really installed in your machine it will run considerably faster.
