It is this last type of communication that is most useful in the dating world. Although animals do not generally have socially sexual relationships, the human animal does. Even though these two aspects are different, they both rely on internal chemical indicators to compel members of the species to mate with each other. In humans, this evolutionary tactic has been somewhat lost. However, this is one of the reasons why a great deal of research has gone into the development of special perfumes and colognes.

Not everyone is attracted to the same aromas, but not everyone is compatible with the enumerable scents that are out there. Generally, though, women's fragrances are more floral and fruity or sweet. Men's fragrances are quite the opposite, more robust and of an earthy or citrus base. The key is to find the right combination that works with your particular human pheromones.

This concept may also be familiar to you in the form of aphrodisiacs. These formulated aromas can incite pleasure or excitement in the same way that some natural and prepared foods can. In the raw form some herbs and spices can be made into teas but they can also be cooked with other foods:
