Donating the vehicle to a worthy cause means less hassle on the environment. It also means that you are doing a good deed by being altruistic. The vehicle continues to be in use while you are free to purchase a new vehicle with a clear conscience, knowing that you did not add to the carbon footprint being made by human pollution.

Junk yard sales allow car owners to pass on the parts of a car that are still valuable. This not only helps to reduce pollution but also earns the seller some income.
