We Are Becoming The Economic Animal

Many of us are amazed to find that we are becoming economic animal".

In the very beginning, this concept was used to describe the situation that people were busy all day long, being indulged in chasing money while never caring about other things in life in the world. Shortly after the concept was created, there were a bulk of import of such kind of animals and they rapidly grow into the main work force. Such kinds of animals wear formal suits and are well-mannered. They do not belong to columns of 12 Chinese zodiacs, but they fall into an independent evolution. They can be found in the concrete jungle of the city every day, although the division is different, but they survive on the same grass-the wealth. The animals look dull, but their smell of money is rather sensitive. Normally they only read the economic news and when they watch TV, they only focus on the stock market. When they take in a party with their relatives and friends, they only talk about the projects that can help them make money. Those who will laugh when others talk about the ideal and belief are doomed to be those economic animals.

Economic animals share one of the most remarkable features, that is, they are always short of money at hand. They are in poor need of money however rich they are. Not only the wage earners or small white-collar workers but also the big bosses all can feel the financial pressure. Because white collars have superior bosses and bosses also have superior bosses. The pressure of examples is endlessamong economic animals, the most representative are the Beijing taxi-drivers. Every day when they open their eyes, they feel they owe others the good people hundreds of Yuan.

The smell of money is floating in the air of the city, and therefore the city is the main habitat for economic animal. Opportunities offered make people more eager for money which can be used to buy the material possessions to meet their endless desires. The more they compare with others, the poorer they find we are, and accordingly the more pressure they feel to make money. No matter how much they earn, there are always others who are richer and therefore, they can not afford a single stop to relax themselves.

Therefore, we are becoming economic animals, focusing too much on the wealth in the external world but neglecting the wealth in the inner world.
