Interviewer: Today we have Warren Kuchel with the o2 Group in the studio with us. Warren thanks for joining us.
Warren Kuchel: Thanks Kari, its great to be here.
Interviewer: So tell me a little bit about what the o2 Group does.
Warren Kuchel: Well, at the o2 group, we like to tout ourselves as a multi-faceted, interactive marketing agency, and thats just a big long way of saying we like to be part of our clients message- directly to the consumer or directly to their customer, so we like to have a hands-on approach and whether that would be through web design and development, through an onsite event or through even a mobile application we like to be at the point of contact with the consumer.
Interviewer: So what makes o2 unique?
Warren Kuchel: Well I think its a little bit of what I just said that its a - this multi faceted approach and that weve got a team of people from diverse backgrounds, from Fortune 100 CEOs, all the way down to incredible designers and graphic artists. We have a wide variety of people on staff, who are able to help you with your message.
Interviewer: Now you are called an event producer, not an event planner, correct?
Warren Kuchel: Correct.
Interviewer: So tell me what the difference is there.
Warren Kuchel: Well a lot of times with an event planner they are going to plan just an event for you and so they are going to say, here is some dinner and here is some entertainment, maybe a keynote speaker and, do you want a cash bar or an open bar. What we like to do as an event producer is we like to take your message and say here is how we can amplify that message, here is how we can best take that message from concept all the way to completion and delivery to your clients.
Interviewer: Now, events at hotels can often be quite expensive what do you do to really keep the costs down for your clients?
Warren Kuchel: We really like to approach each event uniquely and so we dont want to put you in any kind of package, or if you go to a hotel sometimes they are going to say hey theres five hundred people, so you are in a ballroom, you are going to have two screens, a podium and some lighting. We like to take your message and say what do you want to talk to your consumer about, what do you want to tell your audience, what story are you trying to tell? So we will say maybe you dont need screens on this event, maybe its a hard set, maybe its props that you are going to talk about, maybe its a little bit different lighting. We like to approach each one individually and say hey, maybe this isnt going to work for you, but here is what will.
Interviewer: Okay great and how does your company then tie in web design with an event?
Warren Kuchel: Well its a surround sound approach, we dont like to just look at the event and say hey the event is on October 14th; we are going to come in, do the event and leave. We like to have an opportunity to come in before the event. Maybe we send out an e-mail, maybe we create a website or a registration website for the event, and it gives us an opportunity to kind of carry out your message, you know, pre, during and post of the event. We can reach out afterwards as well with feedback or a survey after your event, so its an opportunity to reach your client on multiple levels.
