If a forensic examination is being conducted, a bouffant cap will stop contamination from happening because no hair or dried skin will come into contact with what is being examined. Also maintaining a sterile environment are shoe covers. As no bacteria or outside elements will enter a laboratory, using shoe covers will offer peace of mind because the work which is being carried out will not be compromised.
