Finding good web developers in Dubai is a little like finding a good builder

, there are many builders but very few good ones. Choosing a cheap and nasty web developer has the same result as burning your money, a good one should have all of the following in place. If they haven't you should strike them off of your "Potential Web Development List" list.

Reference accounts - They should be able to show you a minimum of 20 reference accounts and you should test that the sites work with no errors on the page and of course that you like their style of design.

Professional Project Management - a good web developer should be able to explain their project methodology and show you the project management system that they use for delivering projects and collaborating with clients

Good Search Engine Optimization - Organic Search Engine Optimization Dubai (SEO). Chances are if the web sites you are viewing are not showing up in search engine results then your Dubai based website developer isn't up to much. Look at some of the demonstration sites they sent you over, now type in relevant search queries that relate to that companies business. For example if they have developed the website for a shoe shop in Dubai they should show up in the first page of google for searches related to "Shoe Shops in Dubai" -

Capability in PHP web development - Your web developer should use PHP, I know that there is an endless debate between developers between if PHP or Microsoft is the best web development platform. That's not relevant, unless they have very good PHP skills they can develop.

Content Management System - Your Dubai based web developer should be able to provide you with a digital content management system so you can quickly update your website content on your own. Certainly you shouldn't deal with a developer who can't show you a demonstration of their content management system. Web developing is one thing, what about all of the other digital services your company will need, try to find a company that offers a wide scope of services including software development, online marketing, online advertising and one that has the ability to integrate your website into core back office systems such as your CRM system as this will save you money and time later.

Structured Processes - If the sales person you have in front of you from your Dubai Web Development Agency cannot explain their processes from contract, to design, to project to delivery you should end the conversation there.

Good Contracts - Ask to have a look at your web developer's contract, if he or she gives you a three page tatty contract then run for the hills. A good company will have a contract that protects you from IPR infringement and provides you with a service level agreement detailing the time it's going to take to fix your problems. Do a Google search for the web development company, if the company shows up in PR articles, press etc make sure the coverage is good. If you can only find their website and not third party articles about them then they are probably not a good company to deal with. A good development company will have good coverage.
