But for the ecommerce application, this is not possible as it bring down the live site especially, if you are in the process of changing files or installing applications. It is better to set up a website on your reseller account for developing and testing and move the applications to production account.

Backup if you are not happy with the hosting company, you can easily switch from one hosting to other, if you are familiar with the site managing tools. It will take only one minute to transfer the domain, if you have back-up running on another server.
