Weber Q220 Check Out The Cool Features Of The Q220 Grill!

I first noticed the Weber Q220 at my company's annual picnic

. The event takes place in a beautiful, but obscure beach area, which does not have charcoal grills. Because it is a portable gas grill, the Q220 was a perfect fit for the event. It performed like a champ, mainly because of some very cool features!

At our picnic, we had 10 employees with their spouses (if they had one), and children. All in all, their were 33 people to feed.

Different individuals were asked to bring grills. I think we had 5 total grills, with 3 of them being portable gas grills.

It sounds funny, but the Weber model just "looked" like a better grill than the others. It is quite compact and sturdy, weighing in at a respectable 40 lbs or so.

I couldn't believe how easy it was to transport and set up! With the handy automatic igniter, we had our grill going in the blink of an eye!

Though it only features a 12,000 B T U burner, this baby burns HOT! We were able to put a serious sear on both sides of our steaks.

A control knob regulates the output of the stainless-steel burner. We were able to keep a vigilant eye on a built-in thermometer enclosed within the lid so that the grill gets to the required cooking temperature.

I must admit to having doubts about the size of the cooking grate. However, when I checked it out, I noticed that it was deceptively large. According to the manual, a full 280 square inches.

We were able to cook 6 good sized steaks on it, with plenty of room for the fire to "breathe". The Weber Q220 has plenty of depth, too, as we noticed that some people were able to cook a full size brisket on it!

Our company picnic was a rousing success, and a good time (and good eating), was had by all. In no small part due to the performance of the Q220 grill!
