There are countless websites in the net. Competition is tough and advertise your website or blog can be quite difficult. But without traffic you cannot generate a revenue from your website, so traffic generation is crucial to your e-business marketing campaign and to survive, you need to generate more traffic and interest to your website.

Here are three effective methods to start promoting your business:

Step 1: Submit Your Site to search engines and directories

Getting on the search engines has always taken a long time for a new site. It can take months before your site is even indexed, and more months before it starts to rank well. so, Don't wait! As soon as you register your domain name, submit it to Google! Even if you haven't built your site, or thought about your content, submit your site to as many search engines as possible. In fact, even if you haven't fully articulated your business plan and marketing plan, submit your domain to search engines and directories. After the initial indexing I would recommend resubmitting every 6 months.


Step 2: Unique content

Your content is your best advertisement. If visitors love your content, then they will come back.

Information is important to your customers in order for them to make a decision, so too much information is like too much choice. Focus on delivering meaningful content or risk having your visitors hit the exit button.

Step 3: Submit articles

By writing highly informative, unique and interesting articles and submitting these to high-traffic article directories, you will be read and your articles will become your website's advertisement.People who found your articles informative and helpful would go to your website for more information. If you continue along this vein - writing and submitting more articles - more people would trust you and your business over time.When you submit articles to different websites, make sure that your articles are fresh and interesting and that you have added a link to your website as well.
