With everything there is to do, the photographer is often the one professional that you expect to know what you want. However, if you dont discuss your needs with the photographer he or she will likely not meet your needs and leave you upset after the wedding. Here are some of the most popular wedding photography packages.

Many future newly weds decide to go with wedding photography packages that are going to give them the most memories for the least amount of money. However, if you are not having a traditional wedding you might not want to purchase a package that is for 9 hours. A smaller and less costly package for 6 or 7 hours might better meet your needs.

First, consider your finances before looking into the various packages offered by the photographer you are choosing. Stick to your predetermined budget as much as humanly possible. Take into consideration the type of wedding you are having as well as the number of guests you will have witnessing your special day.

These are all factors that will be involved in the time you should hire a photographer. For smaller and more intimate weddings, you will not need to take advantage of the larger wedding photography packages. Something smaller, such as a 6 hour package should be sufficient.

You already are looking at a decent amount of travel time when photos will not be taken. You also need to consider the extras you would like included for your package.

Depending on your particular photographer, you should be able to order a photo album, a few larger sized wedding photos and even have your wedding photos put on a DVD for your convenience. If any of these options are something you would like included in your wedding photo package you should discuss your needs with the photographer. Wedding photography packages vary as much as the photographers do. You just have to know what you want and how much you are willing to pay for it.
