Weekly Goals And Daily Tasks - Intentional Internet Success
Not only do we have to work on the monthly projects
, but we have to keep everything else going as well. It's kind of like juggling in a three ring circus at times. This is where good planning, time management and outsourcing comes in to play. The smartest thing a content creator (that's you) can do is create content and spread it all over the web. Even though you need to have a lot of fresh quality content, you don't just write it once, publish it once and call it quits. No friggin' way you can keep up with the pressure of all that writing. What a waste of good content it would be for just a few here and there to run across it when you can make it available for many to see.
Your prospects and clients don't hang out in the same place. Some are on Twitter, some prefer Facebook, others, Posterous, Google+, forums and blogs. You need to be in as many places as they hang out that you possible can. You would kill yourself writing content for each place your clients like to be. Instead you write good content once, re-use and re-purpose it, then use smart marketing strategies, SEO and keywords and put it out there in cyberspace where your peeps are. Then wash, rinse and repeat.
You also need to put it out there in as many different formats as possible. Some people prefer to read while others like video or audio. I'm going to show you how I re-purpose your content many different ways. My favorite mentor Connie Ragen Green taught me her trademarked 5 Prong Approach, and it has served me well.

You'll see how I use the tactics plus a few more. As a result, people tell me they see me everywhere!
Be sure when you are putting together your weekly goals and daily tasks and to do lists that you make them challenging, but do-able. You want to stretch yourself a bit, but not kill yourself. You don't want to set yourself up for failure.
I have a list of things that I like to be sure to do every week that I pull from to make my daily planner. I keep this on my desktop and I print one out. There's just something about physically crossing things off the list that spur me on to the next one. I've added times to each task to stay on track and use a kitchen timer if I think I might go over.
Do what works for you. I have to be honest and say that I don't always get everything done each and every day, but I try.
