Moreover, if there is one word that would describe this expectation that we have, it would be farfetched. Because instead of actually dating and having fun with the person, chances are you re dating with your ideas. The idea that you had formed into your mind, and when the person your currently dating did not match your qualifications and expectations, you end up feeling like a loser and defeated.
So, instead of living behind those ideas, why don't you learn to appreciate the qualities of the real person you are with now? The person who is definitely beyond the superficial ideas that you have, and the one who could probably give you more than the tangible things that you need. Of course, you might say what about the weird stuff that he has? Would it hurt you if you try to overlook them and instead see the positive sides? Because I am sure that, he has some positive sides, those sides that you ignore because of your make-believe notions.
Come on, none of us is perfect, that is an outstanding fact. This is basically why we shouldn't look for the perfect one to satisfy our perfect notions. Rather let us look for the real person, someone who is beyond the imperfections that we readily notice. Let us open our eyes and see who is really the one who can give us the unconditional love we need, without concentrating on the weird stuff that he has. After all, all of us have those stuff too. Then, only then will we be totally happy and contented.
