Dermatophyte fungi can be diagnosed by direct examination of the appearance and site where the manifestation of ringworms occurred. Your physician may also use an ultraviolet light (Wood's lamp) to check for the presence of ringworm cause. Your physician may also perform microscopic examination to visualize clearly the fungi. Fungal culture can also be done to check if your lesion is caused by fungi. And, your physician may resort to skin biopsy when other tests cannot confirm the ringworm though its manifestations are very similar to ringworm.
How can ringworm cause be treated?
Ringworm cause can be treated by topical medications, systemic medications, and environmental decontamination. Topical medications are used when you only have few ringworm symptoms. Systemic medications are prescribed by physician if you have severe and extensive symptoms of ringworms. Environmental decontamination is done using bleach and water solution. You just have to prepare bleach and water solution in 1:10 or 1:100 ratios, and then you can now use it in cleaning your floors, door knobs, and other surfaces exposed to the infected person or pet.

Absolutely yes! You can prevent ringworm cause from infecting your body by simply keeping away to infected persons or pets, keeping yourself clean and sweat-free at all times, using clean and well-dried clothes, keeping a good and intact skin, avoid sharing or borrowing personal items, and keeping your immune system strong. These are few tips that will help you avoid ringworm cause and the associated symptoms it can bring.
