Spiritual growth is a process of keep away from wrong concepts, beliefs, and thoughts about ourselves and our world. It includes an increase in knowledge and understanding about Gods words, trust, and faith in God. It also includes doing good things regularly and avoiding committing sins, whether it light or heavy sin. It can be best described as living like Jesus Christ as he is considered to be the ultimate model of what being spiritual means. Through the process of spiritual growth, a person is able to increase his/her awareness of his/her inner being by looking within himself/herself and discovering his/her true essence that are already there but used to be hidden by his/her egoistic personality. That is why it can only happen when a persons ego shrinks.

When a person grow spiritually, he/she develop inner peace and learn to maintain good mood and state of mind no matter what external circumstance come to his/her life. Moreover, he/she becomes more patient, optimistic, and tolerant. Frustrations and disappointments do not affect him/her which increase his/her feeling of happiness. He/She also has an increased strength and inner power, and sharper intuition. His/her understanding of his/her inner essence also grows. So, how can a person grow spiritually?

There are simple ways a person can do to grow spiritually. One of these ways is to attend church services regularly. By attending church services regularly, a person is able to honor the Lords Day. Also, attending to church services is a persons way to express his/her love for God. It also encourages a person to meet other believers regularly and pray together. Moreover, by attending church services, the person allows the Scriptures to be opened to him/her. It also sets a good example to other people. Aside from attending church services regularly, a person should also join a small group. Being in a small group helps a person to comfort and be comforted, and encourage and be encouraged by the other members of the small group. Also, it helps him/her have a stronger faith in God by sharing Gods words and blessings that he/she receives.

Besides attending church services and joining a small group, a person should also read the bible regularly. The bible contains the words which could help a person live like Jesus Christ. It has words which could encourage a person whenever he/she feels sad or troubled. It contains answers to a persons questions. Moreover, the bible also contains words which could serve as his/her guide towards the straight path. If a person is not a reader, he/she may start reading a few verses once a day and meditate on it until he/she is able to read one or few chapters per day. And ofcourse, in order to grow spiritually, a person should pray frequently. Through praying, one is able to talk to God. A person does not need to use big fancy words when he/she prays. God already knows what he/she wants. He/She just have to be himself/herself. He/She can pray whenever and wherever he/she wants.

Spiritual growth can make a person better and happier. In order for a person to grow spiritually, he/she should choose the straight path by following Gods words. It may be difficult at first but when it is achieved, he/she will have a more harmonious life.
