Moving itself is tough enough, but the dilemma of what not to ship has plagued everyone who has moved elsewhere, at one point or another

Here is a list of items that should either be disposed of or sold before you make the move:

Antifreeze, which is commonly used in households, is extremely inflammable and can lead to fatal accidents if it leaks. That is why it is a strict no-no during a move.

Perishable food items should be consumed before the move. If you pack them in with regular items, and there is a delay in the shipment schedule, they will start rotting. The foul odor will get all over your belongings and some might even spill over. Can you imagine your favorite antique getting ruined due to your negligence?

Any gas or oils, propane tanks, butane, or aerosols should not be moved from one place to another. Even if they are packed using the best techniques, they pose an enormous risk in case they burst open. They might react with air in the truck and that might lead to an explosion or fire.

Bleaches and house paints should be disposed off before a move as they emit strong odors which tend to get over your belongings and it will take weeks of work to effectively get rid of the smell. Plus there is a chance that they might spill over during transit and some of your items like antiques, clothes, books, or electronics might get damaged permanently.

Alcohol is another forbidden item during a move. Be it rum, gin, beer, or vodka - they are hazardous due to their inflammable nature. Some of the worst accidents during moves have been caused by alcohol. A good wine collection is valuable but nothing is more important than safety.

Non-sealed food containers might spill on other items like paints or bleaches. On numerous occasions food packets have burst open and spoilt valuable items permanently. Best is to consume all food items beforehand.

The list of items not allowed for transportation is not limited to the items listed above.
