Greetings everyone. This is your Minster of Defense, Xavier Smith with a quick note on an issue that effects everyone! I am talking about domestic violence! This is a sad fact but it is real, but by the time I get done writing this post, someone, whether man or woman will be personally effected by domestic violence! Let us explore this a bit. Domestic violence can be anything from verbal threats or speaking to someone in a degrading tone to an all out assault! What's worse, is you know someone who is going through it. Perhaps it is you, and you don't know what to do about it, or you are scared to do anything about it! In my line of work, I have encountered many people, mostly women who do not even wish to talk about this problem. Or they will ask me certain questions as if they were asking for a "friend," when they all along it is they who have the problem! To leave it inside and not talk about it is the wrong thing to do! There is a solution.

Whether it is you or someone you know, please understand that no one has the right to put their hands on you in any kind of threatening way, and there are resources available to you that you probably did not know about! Every nine seconds a woman is abused. It took me 12 minutes to write this. You do the math. Let us all wake up and do something about reversing the trend of d0mestic violence. I am standing up to help. What about you!
