Media often depicts sexy women to have a big bust, wide hips and a small waistline. Because of these social stigmas of how women should look in order to appear sexy, people barely understand and appreciate the different body shapes that women have.

Basically, women have four body shapes. These are pear, apple, hourglass and rectangle. Women with pear-shaped bodies have an upper body that is noticeably smaller than the lower body. Usually, they have small breasts, a vertically long waistline and a flat tummy. Contrary to this, an apple-shaped body has an average-sized breast, a larger belly and a flat butt. Women with this figure have an upper body that is bigger than the lower body.

The skinny women in billboards and print advertisements have rectangle or column-shaped bodies. They have lean, long legs, with a shoulder width equal to the hip width. Rectangle-shaped bodies have a straight form, with slight but barely defined curves. Conversely, hourglass-shaped women possess clearly defined body curves, with big breasts, a small waistline, big hips and large thighs. The hourglass body form is said to be the perfect and ideal body shape for women.

The way a woman gains weight depends on her body shape. Accumulated fats in a pear-shaped figure usually go to the hips and thighs. For an apple-shaped figure, fats go to the waistline. On the contrary, fats are evenly distributed to the different parts of the body for rectangular and hourglass-shaped figures. Because of this, it is advisable for women to know what their body shape is before buying women's designer jeans.

Flared and wide-legged jeans with darker colors are recommended for pear-shaped figures. Likewise, the same style of jeans is recommended for apple-shaped figures. However, it must have a rise lower than the waist, and it must preferably be white-washed at the back portion. Women's designer jeans have mid-rise and low-rise designs for both hourglass and rectangle-shaped figures.

Despite differences in body shape, there is always something sexy in a woman's body. Stylists of women's designer jeans can attest to this. Women have assets distinct from one another. It is in these individual strengths that the sexiness of a woman can really be measured.
