What Causes Infidelity In Marriage

Our marriages are daily being confronted with various problems

. Are we recording any progress? What is our take on the state of these challenges? Are they rising or reducing? We would only have to look at the state of many marriages today to give an answer. This is one issue we would be discussing here.

One question that appears to get me thinking is this. Do marriages today face more problems than marriages of before? I ask this because I am trying to determine if we can blame the rise in infidelity in marriage to the fact that marriages today face more challenges.

My findings after a careful review of this issue is that there is no rise in the challenges encountered by marriages today. I can just say that the way we respond to these challenges have changed.

One thing everybody knows is truly needed to have a solid relationship is communication. Building good communication with your spouse requires time together. We have now come to what I consider the main issue. A lot of people now spend more time in their offices than at home. It's therefore little wonder that lot's of the cases of infidelity happen with colleagues at work.

I was recently talking with a friend and he showed me one of the dangers marriages now encounter. According to a research, it was stated that folks who have a television set in their bedrooms were more likely to have untreated issues. Thinking about it, you would clearly see the reason. The television provides a choice that distracts one or both spouses so problems aren't taken care of. The presence of the television as an option means they don't have to talk to themselves.

This is just a little example of the current changes that may actually be responsible for the increased failures in our marriages. We are regular in the midst of so much to choose from by way of distractions. Lot's of folks are now trying to learn how to cope with infidelity because a spouse saw an affair as an option to take when things were not going right.

In the past, there weren't so many alternatives. People either went to a bar or simply went on a walk when upset. Today, you can simply get immersed in the internet, social media or television. Can you imagine a couple talking while one of them is engaged on a social media network? This is a common thing. How irresponsible is this?

One thing I know is our biggest problem today is using our time well so we can create time for our spouses. Our mobile devices, the internet and our big screens don't sustain our lives or homes. We should switch these off from time to time. We shouldn't allow inventions that were made to assist us start to eat up the very foundation of our society.

Everything always has been an issue of choice and this is no different. You have to decide if you want to sustain your marriage by creating time for it.
