What Do I Need To Do To Get A Six Pack?
I used to think that sit ups, crunches and leg raises were the best exercises to get a six pack
. But after struggling to get anywhere with these workouts for months I knew there must be a better way. Thats when I found out that whilst those abs exercises are great for strengthening your muscles and toning up, they don't do a great deal for getting rid of belly fat.
Most likely you will have great abdominals hidden under a layer of stomach fat. So the exercises that you should focus on, are ones that will help you burn your belly fat. This is the key to getting ripped six pack abs.
Eating fat burning foods is a very effective way to losing weight. Some of my favourites ones are mangoes, okra, onions, papaya, string beans, tomatoes and watermelon. These are really good foods to include in your eating plan and do a fantastic job of giving you the nutrition you need whilst helping you lose weight.
But if you really want to get fast results, then you should couple this with a solid cardio routine. In my opinion, Interval cardio training is the most effective as it stresses your body to a high enough intensity which forces rapid results.
A typical Interval exercise would go something like this. Lets say that you are going for a run. Well you would start off at an easy, pleasant pace for a few minutes just to warm up and get your muscles working. Then you quickly accelerate up to a full sprint for around 1 minute. Followed by a slow jog for a few minutes.
By doing that repeatedly you train your body at a high intensity which is known to produce better results. Of course you can do standard cardio if you wish, but don't expect to get the benefits of Interval training.
Only once your eating a healthy diet and doing some good cardio should you begin thinking about doing some abdominal exercises to help get a six pack faster. I believe that you should have your diet and cardio sorted out before you begin to do these. Because as I said earlier, losing belly fat is the key to getting six pack abs.
However, if you want to get a really ripped mid section, then you might also want to start doing some abs workouts. Some of the best ones are your standard sit ups, crunches and leg raises. But you also need to make sure that you exercise more than just your lower and upper abdominals, so to do this you need to include one with a twisting movement to give your entire mid section a workout.
Okay, so with this knowledge you should be able to start designing your diet plan, cardio training and workout routine. You may want to take a close look into each of the tree steps for additional detail. But by now you should at very least have an idea about what you need to do to lose stomach fat and get six pack abs.
