Twiztid and ICP are musical groups performing and writing in the same genre, Twiztid and ICP are both signed to Psychopathic Records, and Twiztid and ICP are the two most well-known horror rap groups in the world. That being said, it should come as no surprise that both Twiztid and ICP have throngs of rabid Juggalo followers who think they nor their founders (Joseph Bruce, Joseph Utsler, Jamie Madrox, Monoxide Child) can do no wrong.

Thats a fair thought, because up to this date, neither has released a truly abhorrent album. Twiztid and ICP are on top of the horror rap universe because they consistently deliver lyrics and music that connects with the Juggalo family.

Of course, this is common knowledge to most of you reading this. Whats more interesting than what the bands have in common is what the creators within these bands have in common. Do Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler have a lot in common with Madrox and Monoxide Child of Twiztid?

Perhaps the most remarkable similarity between Twiztid and ICP is that both of their careers sputtered momentarily before taking off. For Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler, the variations before Insane Clown Posse blew up included JJ Boys and Inner City Posse.

For Twiztid, the band they were known for before being reincarnated as Twiztid at ICPs designation was House of Krazees. Similarly, both Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child of Twiztid and Joseph Utsler of Insane Clown Posse have dabbled as solo artists over the years.

Also, Twiztid and ICP have overlapping interests in the world of wrestling. Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler bonded backstage at a WWF event one time, and have both subsequently tried their hands at the sport. Joseph Bruce reportedly left WWF out of frustration regarding backstage politics. Madrox and Monoxide child have also been in the ring at times.

This career-oriented stuff is important, but the strongest ties between Twiztid and ICP stems from their roots in Detroit. Joseph Bruces time growing up in a difficult section of the city is well documented, as is Joseph Utslers. Its not an exaggeration to say that music saved either of their lives.

For Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child of Twiztid, their youth is less well-documented than that of Joseph Bruce and Joseph Utsler, but they both tried their hands at freestyle rapping while growing up in Detroit. Interestingly enough, they both went to school with late rapper Proof, whom they said was the "mecca of freestyling." Seeing that sort of prowess at such a young age undoubtedly had an impact as well.

Hopefully more artistic collaboration will come out of the strong horror rap friendship between Twiztid and ICP, as well as that between Joseph Bruce, Joseph Utsler, Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child in the coming years. After all, its not very often that you get to make music with someone so similar to you!
