These tarps can prove out to be very effective in saving the field in the time of rain and keep the field safe for future games. Though the current game might get canceled but still the field can be kept safe for the other matches.

If the field is not covered on time, it can result in further matches getting delayed. When one match is concerned, it is fine but when many people get tickets for many matches, it is a disappointment for them if all the matches are canceled. This tarp helps save the ground for future games. It does not make the ground muddy and helps keeping the ground clean throughout the rain. This makes the ground ready to be played on after the rain.

There are small tarps which are also available to help save the seats during the rain. Usually, to protect the field, one big tarp can be used which can be rolled on to the field just as the rain starts. You can hold the tarps with sandbags towards the edges.

At times, they come with chains or weights to hold them to the ground while it is raining. Baseball tarps come in many colors and varieties. You can select whichever you like. Remember while selecting a baseball tarp, it is important for it to have thick poly coating and high mesh count.
