Men have been trying to figure it out for years

When it comes to small cars, and women seem to prefer them, they want something foreign, not too expensive and hot - as in the temperature. Even though we still think of car buying as something men do more than women, the women are actually buying 45 percent of new cars. But heres the part you didnt know - they have a voice in 80 percent of new car purchases. After all, what husband or doting daddy is going to buy a car his girl doesnt love?

Automakers have taken note and are designing cars with women in mind. Your used Hummer Fort Lauderdale dealer is taking note of this as well. They actually may be selling more to the men, as women, for the most part, do want smaller vehicles.

But small doesnt mean tiny. In fact, more small SUVs made the list than anything else. This may be because women do a lot of running and hauling of kids and their stuff, but they still want a vehicle they can easily handle and park.

Women also like to save money only one luxury car showed up in the top ten - the Lexus. The Volvo might come close to fitting on the list too. Another study showed women literally want the temperature in their car hotter than men do - and they usually get their way. They also dont want men driving the same thing they do. This study was done in Europe, so it would be interesting to see how such a question was answered here in the states. Hummer Fort Lauderdale customers might be interested in that study.

Basically, what it comes down to is women know what they want to drive and they expect to be able to get it at an affordable price. They also would probably appreciate being treated like a knowledgeable consumer when they shop for a vehicle, but surely that kind of discrimination, deliberate or unconscious, doesnt exist anymore in the car buying world.
