Whilst learning to drive your driving instructors should always try and get the accelerator happy drivers to calm down so they avoid speeding penalties and fines once they have passed their driving test. When given a summons you are called to the magistrates court and you are at a greater risk of higher penalties, they have the power to fine you up to 1000 on non-motorways and up to 2500 on motorways. Instead of getting 3 points you are also at the risk of receiving 6 points on your driving licence or even banned from driving altogether!

After taking your driving lessons in Leeds the best advice for avoiding speeding offences is just not to do it! It is dangerous and not worth the punishment just for saving a few minutes!
