This will allow them to repair any muscles that have been overstretched or damaged using permanent stitches that will not be visible from the outside of your body. Once the internal muscles have been repaired, the skin will be stretched and stitched back together along the original incision line.

What is more, the surgeon can also remove any excess skin something that can often occur when people have lost a significant amount of weight. Not only will this mean that patients have a flatter stomach, but they will not have to worry about any flabby skin as they once would have.

In many cases, tummy tucks are combined with other procedures such as liposuction or breast augmentation. Having them done at the same time means the recovery time for patients is reduced.
