Without being able to communicate well with your girlfriend, you don't really have that much of a chance of having a lasting relationship. You need to find a way to make sure that there is not too much silence between you and her if you want your union to last. Now, I know that communicating is not always a guy's forte and that is cool, except for the fact that you need to be able to find a way to do this if you want to give it your best shot.

One of the most overlooked ways of communicating with a woman is to sit down and ask her some of the things that you always wanted to know about her. It's not just about getting the answers to the questions that you want to ask your girlfriend - it's also about letting her see that you are really willing to open up and you want her to do the same with you.

So, how can you get rid of that silence with your girlfriend and make it so that you can communicate better with her by asking her questions?

You can start by revealing something about yourself and then allowing her the chance to do the same. That way it does not seem like you are just trying to get answers, you are just as willing to give her some answers as well. It helps to give off the impression that this is a two way street and it is not just a one sided thing. That always works well if you want to open up and get her to feel like she can do the same with you.

Another good thing to keep in mind is that it can be boring and even stressful to answer a barrage of questions all at once. So, ask a few here and there and then leave it at that. You don't want to make her feel like she has to answer 20 questions about herself all at once. That is not a good thing and it can lead to her clamming up and feeling like she does not want to answer any more inquiries that you might have.

Overall, you always have to remember that communication is the key to having a good and lasting relationship. And, if there are too many instances of silence between you and your girlfriend, that can be a sign of bad things to come. You don't want that to happen, so don't be afraid to work on the communication that the two of you have.
