What Is A Door Kick Plate

Are you a house owner with little children running all around your house

? Are you a mother who is fed up of telling your children to use their hands to open the door rather than kicking it open? Or are you a business owner who has had to replace too many doors because they were being kicked open? Is it not strange that you never before thought about a door kick plate?

There is no denying the fact that sometimes pure practical usage rules out manners. What would you do if you were to go out of your kitchen, all laden with goodies with your hands unable to open the door the way you ask others to? Would you drop stuff just to look civil while opening the door, or would you simply kick the door for practicalities sake? there are times when one has to consider being civil, and then there are times when one has to think what is practical.

But given the usage, doors often tend to get scratches or cracks with continued kicks to open the door. Probably that is the reason why mothers usually teach their children not to kick the doors open. But did you ever wonder possible that you can not only kick your door open whenever you want, but your door will still remain as good as new?

Well, that is what a door kick plate is good for. Any house-owner will understand that the lower portion of the door is usually subject to a lot more wear and tear than any other part of the door.

So why worry about your door breaking down through rough usage and not make sure that your door gets a new life?

A door kick plate is a solid sheet of metal, preferably of your choice and aluminum or brass in general that you can install on your door so that it is this more expendable and more durable kick plate and not your poor door that gets all the pummeling.

Remember, if you truly want your children to rid their habit of kicking their doors open, the best possible way is to prove to them how futile it is to kick. No damage done to the door, and only their self esteem is being hurt, you will get better results this way, and in the meantime whenever you are too laden up with stuff to be able to use the hands, you can simply kick the door open without worrying for the doors safety.
