An aerospace engineer will need a degree to be able to progress through the profession successfully. This should be supported by qualifications in maths and science. The typical aerospace engineer will complete around 8 years of training, and of course the more specific your niche the more training you will require.

The engineer will have duties which might include designing, building and repairing aircraft of differing sizes. They might work on military projects or commercial aircrafts.

The job will involve figuring out what material is the best to use for a project, how much this costs and where it can be sourced.
