So if your website sells bracelet & necklaces and you are linked by a blogger who writes about jewelry, then it is good for you if that blogger has been writing about other designers selling similar jewelry that you sell.At the same time if you purchase a back link on a health blog, it is bad for your site because Google understands the context & will not give any weight to that link. It is quite possible that it may go as a negative ranking factor though it is unlikely because then people can start misusing the system by posting competitors links on unrelated industry websites.
