Vocals in doom metal have less growls plus more clean vocals. There are also screams of anger within the clean vocals of their music. Doom metal songs are structure with different aspects of their life. Some of the very popular emotions they write about includes anger, depression, sorrow, fear and death. To get the high amounts of bass and distortion, the guitarists would tune their guitars down low. This approach gives them a dark and unsettling sound. The sound from the bass guitar would be really low and heavy. The drum kits could have double bass options. This could give the drummer the ability to add more bass and distortion the their music.
