To put it in a nutshell gender selection is where you try to determine the sex of your bay before conception

. There are quite a few natural ways to attempt, here are a few.

The Shettles Method.

Developed by Landrum Shettles in the early 60's, this method of choosing a babies gender involves the theory of sexual positions making a difference in the sex of child you conceive. For example if you want a baby girl then you need your man to ejaculate very close to the vaginal opening which is very acidic, this acid kills off the boy sperms but allows the stronger girl sperms to pass through. The shettles method teaches many other sex related methods.

The O+12 method.

The O+12 is used only for conception of a girl baby and the theory is that you have to have intercourse 12 hours after ovulation.

The Pre-conception diet

Langendoen and Proctor are responsible for this diet which claims that the foods you eat or don't eat can play a part in gender selection. An example is that if you are trying for a boy you should eat more salty foods but avoid dairy foods.

Now whether these gender selection methods work or not is open to debate because science says that it is a 50/50 chance. My wife believes in the above techniques as we had our son after using them but I myself am not so sure.

So do these natural selection methods work? The honest answer from me is I don't know, from my wife is YES.
