It matches ads to the owner's website content and audience, and depending on the type of ad, the website owner can earn money from clicks or impressions. The money is available, and builds up for a period of time. The website visitor clicks on the ad, and it generates revenue. Depending on the type of website, Google Adsense places ads, that are within keeping of the same subject of the blog or site. On certain blog sites, Google Adsense is available as what is termed as a widget. A widget is a small box placed on a website, to either draw revenue, or for information or fun. If Google Adsense is accompanied by Google Adwords, the website owner is able to view the counters, visits, link backs, times, dates, IP address, and everything involved with the visitors to their site. For example, a website owner has a Wordpress site about dogs. The owner chooses a Google Adsense box widget. The ads inside the Adsense box, will be for pet supplies, grooming and toys. The visitor to the site, clicks on the ad, and the website owner is paid for the click. A valid click might include being on the site for a certain amount of time, or making a purchase form the visiting site. The ads inside the Adsense box, is from Google Adwords. Adwords work by an advertiser purchasing a certain amount of website views, per keywords of the ad. It is very effective for advertisers to go this route. With Adsense, an advertiser makes a bid for the ad to go on the website or blog. The revenue is produced from the payment of the bid. The payment is in the form of electronic payment. The payment received is part of the advertising amount paid to have the ad placed on the website. the ad is part of Adwords. The payment that the advertiser pays is used to pay for the Google Adwords ads. Google has completely dominated internet marketing, by producing this effective system. Though it sounds complicated, on sites like Wordpress, its only a matter of selecting the Adsense widget, and providing Google with the information of where to send the payment. It is beneficial and works.
