Mineral makeup may not be the best choice for every face, however. It can be somewhat irritating and drying on some delicate skin types. Its light-reflecting properties can also accentuate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. As well, mineral makeup is not always available in tones that accentuate the undertones of ethnic skin.
