There are treatments which are completed using a device that delivers radio pulses rather than light pulses to create the same effect on the skin. Chemical peels are also a type of photorejuvenation. However, chemical peels can carry strong side effects and can leave the skin sensitive and sore after the procedure. Treatments with lasers on the other hand carry only a very low risk of side effects. Laser treatments are recommended to patients that are looking for the best results with the lowest risk of pain and side effects.
