The potential of being a team and team effort is undoubtedly towering and gargantuan.The need of team building and its management has been effectively recognized and conceptualized by the industrial sector. Building the pyramid like structure of the team starts from the basic workforce tapering to the head of the organization. It needs a lot of planning and thoughtful programming. Any disorganized step and weak area is bound to topple the pyramid. Thus a team of any organization, whether it is small or big is of utmost importance to judge its strengths, ability, present as well as sustenance in future.A company has various sectors that work differently. For example in a steel plant, scrap material collection, steel melting shop, furnace, rolling mill, blooming mill, metallurgy department, quality control, HR, sales, etc are many of the departments that work differently and carry forward the basic raw material to its end product and there after sales. The HR or PIR take care that needs of the employees and their issues are dealt with so that no personal problem becomes a hurdle in their individual strength.In the hierarchy, there is a top level management committee that designs and outlines the goals, and policies. Then under them come the managers who execute the policies with their leadership skills. They see to it that the people below them meet the demands required to be achieved. Thus from the main goal, he needs are analyzed and bifurcated to different sections with teams made as various branches and sub-branches of a tree. A team building program also involves solving the issues of the basic sub-branches, and individuals who constitute them. A stress free work atmosphere and good interpersonal relationship is a must for unity. We all know unity is strength. At every level, there has to proper training and newer technology introduced for improvement. Encouragement and appreciation at every step, helps in boosting the performance.The team members should be able to share their views and ideas, as well as clear their fears. This opens is important for a stronger fearless and forceful team. When it is a larger objective, the goal is obtained from smaller joining hands to become one huge force. It is important to understand that any member who is multitasking will lose out on quality. Thus posting single person in more than one or two teams will make it difficult for him as well as will not earn the team a benefit. As a result he may become the weaker link.It is important to unite with all the links bonded strong, and no links weak One weak link can collapse and break away the entire purpose and the effort. So every step in the team building should be monitored. It weaknesses should be individually rectified, for there can be no weak link, the team is sturdy. Team building is an important aspect in every field. A proper and careful team proves the famous quote, 'Unity is strength'.
