What Is The Best Mini Car On The Market Today?

The number of manufacturers that make mini cars these days has expanded with the public's love of cheap, manoeuvrable and fuel efficient cars

. Toyota, Fiat and Honda are just a few of the companies that have delved into the market attempting to take a share of this important and key sector.

But the question remains what is the best mini car on the market today? The Toyota Yaris would feature highly on the list of car, it's small, it's light, it's manoeuvrable and it is good on fuel. One area where the car doesn't really come up to the standard of the other models is in design. The outside of the car appears to have been designed for practicality and not for style which makes it slightly less appealing to the younger audience. The interior of the car isn't much better either; it appears to be very plastic and reeks of being cheap and nasty.

The Fiat 500 couldn't be more different from the Toyota, this mini car has the style and presence of a large Italian supercar, the interior is clean and full of funky buttons that are surrounded by chrome. The gearstick has matching leather trim and the speedometer is amazingly retro and is a unique selling point with young people. The outside of the car has stayed true to the original model whilst adding a modern flair and style. Obviously like all flash, European cars there is an options list on the cars and the nicest model is obviously the most expensive.

So that brings us on to Honda's mini car, the Jazz. This car is a mixture between the two, the looks of the car are better than those of the Toyota but not as good as the Fiat, also the interior and reliability helps to score the car some good points but the hot topic would be whether it has done enough to pull itself above the Fiat 500.

Overall I would be forced to admit that the Fiat 500 is probably the best mini car on the market today, however there is one more contender to defeat, the Mini itself. The car has been around for forty year and has dominated that market in that time. The new BMW mini has also maintained the market sector that the original mini had. Comparing the two there isn't much to choose between the two. Both were classic cars when first released and are classic today. It depends what you prefer, at the moment everyone is buying a Fiat 500, but I think in the long run the Mini will win out.
