When we get a whole blood delivery, we handle the product with extreme care, and transport it only in a medically approved, temperature controlled delivery vehicle with a refrigeration unit. The temperature and atmosphere of that delivery vehicle must be continually maintained to within a few degrees, in order to preserve specimen viability and limit any logistic problems in this particular shipment. Absolutely perfect preservation is a must in this kind of shipment.

Our care and special treatment does not end there. We specify for our drivers the exact routes these refrigerated vans will use: low traffic, low incident areas that will not delay the delivery van any more than is necessary.

We have multiple hospital orders and deliveries every day, and every one of them gets this special treatment; this is why our refrigerated vans are a premium service because we never accept more than we can safely deliver within a given time frame. Our drivers must not only be efficient and punctual, but also use extreme care in handling and unloading the specimens.
