What Is Your Destiny?

No one knows what their destiny really is. I ask a fictitious character, Destiny, when on stage what is my destiny? Destiny said, "Raj no one really knows their destiny. However as you pursue a priority dream that has support from other dreams, the dreams get out of your head and turned into goals. You start achieving them and they become callings."

For example, as a boy my dreams were to grow as a son, brother, friend, play sports, and do well in school. Doing well in school was my priority dream, I created goals, and it then became a calling. My other dreams supported my priority dream. As I did this new opportunities became available to me. Then, my priority dream changed from doing well in school to going to college. I set goals and it became a calling. I graduated with an electrical engineering degree.

Then, my priority dream was to work as an engineer and consultant. I set goals and it became a calling. Then a new opportunity to be a business owner became available because of my previous dreams, goals, and callings. Many of the same non-priority dreams still exist because they support my new priority dream. By being a business owner (priority dream) new opportunities became available. One was I become an author and two because one of my non-priority dreams' was to play sports a new market became available to my business. This wasn't a dream of mine, however, because I was living my good dreams, goals, and callings doors of opportunity became available. Since I now was a speaker, author, and a mindset, mood, motivation expert, the opportunity of being a coach became available. What's next? I don't know.

Look at anyone who you admire and I think you'll see a similar pattern. You're in control of your destiny because you makechoices and decisionsthroughout life.

Remember, it is important to continue fulfilling your supporting dreams to feed into your priority dream for relaxation, rejuvenation, and balance. They may bring a surprise. What are your supporting dreams and priority dream? What opportunities are becoming available as you accomplish your priority dream and continue to fulfill your supporting dreams?

By identifying them and accomplishing them your destiny becomes a reality. As you do so a priority dream that seemed so far away races towards you and more opportunities become available to you. You realize there are more good dreams, goals, and callings to strive for to realize your destiny.
