Style is usually a matter of taste

Style is usually a matter of taste. Some people have good taste and some people have bad taste. Again, much of it is subjective and most often comes down to a persons personal preference. Most people can agree on what is acceptable and what is not, however there are a number of people out there that push the limits of sensibility and the norm. They look for fresh ways to express themselves, borrowing from others and then putting their own unique twist on the look.

They are typically simple to pick out among the crowds out in public; they are typically the weird looking kids. But sometimes what they do stick and other people pick up on it and suddenly it is a craze and it rapidly goes from the new cool thing to do, to what everyone is doing and once you see it on TV or in magazines, it has generally been through its normal lifespan. And if you see old people doing it, you can bet its long past its prime and needs to be put in the closet for a cycle or two.

Many things come and go and by the time most individuals are out of high school, they have tried a dozen different looks and made their way through the disturbing craze which will haunt their senior prom photos for the rest of their lives. Its funny, although for at least a few years after high school, most people freeze in their style and look, not experimenting and trying new things. There is an age that it appears the need to stand apart and be inventive in your look is past and the weird things that you wore go out of style in your own closet.

However if you look at photos of nearly everyone, they keep the hair style that they had in high school for a couple of years. You can almost see it as a frozen moment in time when you see their hair style and guess what decade they were in high school. There are a few things that never go out of style in the fashion world.

The fit and finish may perhaps change, but overall the basic style of a nice pair of blue jeans, a t-shirt or a polo shirt never go out of style. You could wear a basic version of any of those things and fit into any of the past six decades.
