What Jeans to Wear for Different Occasions

Like many people, you're probably most comfortable when decked out in your favourite

pair of jeans - but of course, that doesn't mean that they're going to be the most appropriate thing to wear at every occasion. That said, jeans are a versatile piece of clothing that can often be adapted to the situation you need them for, meaning you can continue to go around in the comfort you love while not looking out of place.

Everyone has a pair (or collection) of jeans they wear while kicking about doing nothing in, but these may not be the best ones to wear when going out or heading into work. If you still want to wear jeans while doing these things, however, you may need to be a little crafty. For example, jeans aren't traditionally accepted in the workplace, but you can often twist the system a little by wearing smart black jeans. These look enough like black trousers to avoid comment - and sometimes don't even notice at all - and mean that you can enjoy the comfort of wearing jeans whilst still looking your professional best.

When it comes to heading out for a night on the town, there are several things you can do. Sometimes, if you want to continue wearing your favourite casual jeans you can simply dress up the rest: wear a nice shirt, your best shoes, a good belt - this will instantly transform what looks like casual jeans into part of a smart outfit. Alternatively, you can just switch to a pair of smarter jeans. Wearing darker colours gives off a smarter look, so shy away from light blue jeans and opt for dark blue, grey or black when choosing what to wear. That way, you can effortlessly change your look without having to wear anything you're not too comfortable in.

It's easy to wear jeans for most occasions without them being construed as being too inappropriate. All you have to do is pick the pair that best suits what you're going to be doing and choose the rest of your clothes accordingly. There's a lot to be said for wearing a smart shirt, tie and shoes for changing your appearance in spite of jeans - and you can complete the look with a hairstyle or a shave to really freshen yourself up.

Men's jeans are a truly adaptable item of clothing and perfect for building into various outfits both smart and casual that will suit almost any situation - so you may as well stock up on your jeans collection to make sure you don't get caught out!
